Christine Vandemoortele was born in Belgium. She studied at the “Ecole Supérieure
d’Architecture et d’Arts Visuels” in Brussels in the seventies. She has lived in Florence
and London and is currently living in South America

As a visual artist Christine Vandemoortele exhibited her work in the seventies
and eighties in Belgium, Italy, France and Holland. She started to experiment
with short films when she moved to London

ROOM FOR UNCERTAINTY 2001: shown at the New York International Independent Film and Video
Festival; Arizona International Film Festival: Reel Frontier; Anchorage Film Festival,
Alaska (won short film award) ; Den Haag Film and Video Festival : The Eye and the Ear
THE OMEGA CENTAURI PROJECT was developed between 2002 and 2008; the three short films that make up the piece were completed in 2010
